Revolution Albarino, Vina Progreso, Uruguay 2023

Albariño is a variety of white wine grape grown in Galicia and Northern Portugal. It has locally been thought to be a Riesling clone originating from the Alsace region of France, although earliest known records of Riesling as a grape variety date from the 15th.

Albariño was introduced to Uruguay some 20 years ago and today it is thought to be probably the Uruguayan white grape of excellence. Lately its wines have been internationally recognized. In the Progreso soils and climate, we obtain a wine with fine and elegant aromas, combined with a naturally crisp acidity.
