Mil Volcanes Single Vineyard Malbec 2022
About
Vista Flores, Uco Valley, Mendoza, at 1,100
meters asl. The soil is a mix of loam and gravel, low
in fertility and organic matter up to 1.2 meters deep
—ideal for crafting fresh, fruit-driven wines.
Beneath, large rounded stones and ancient volcanic
sediments ensure excellent drainage, forcing vine
roots to dig deep in search of nutrients. This natural
stress, combined with the mineral imprint of the
terroir, enhances the wine’s complexity, purity, and
vibrant character. This wine is reminiscent of a powerful and energeticvolcano. It has a deep red colour with purple hintsand elegant, complex aromas of plums, raspberries, violets, and vanilla. On the palate, it is well-balancedand very concentrated, with some mineral notes andround, soft tannins. The finish is long and opulent.
