Block 1 by Mauricio Lorca expresses Mauricio's dedication to achieving the epitome of fruit and terroir expression. These wines originate from the "Finca Los Arboles" vineyards located in the prestigious area of Uco Valley at 3,400 feet above sea level. Characterized by high presence of boulders, this area is irrigated with natual mineral water, coming from the Andes Mountains. Warm days and very cool nightslend the grapes distictive concentration and finesse. Manual selection of shoots and clusters together with a very controlled defoliation results in the optimal conditions for the development and maturation of only the best clusters. The vines selected to produce this wine were grown in Block 1, where a golden alliance of soil, climate and location culminate to achiece the ultimate expression of Uco Valley Single Vineyard Malbec.
