Lorca Block 1 Cabernet Franc 2019

Our beloved Cabernet Franc handled with great love and attention here by Mauricio Lorca. This simply could not be made from any other variety, with wonderfully pronounced aromas of wild red fruits, capsicum and black peppercorns. The wine is soft and gentle on the palate with tremendous concentration and very fine tannins. Aged in new oak barrels for 12 months – 25% of which are eyebrow-raising American oak, but the balance is excellent – this Cab Franc is a delight for those who revel in the grape’s innate personality but prefer to leave green tannins at the side of the plate.
