Leticia Rosado de Tintas 2023

This is what we like to call ‘proper grown-up’ rosé. Yes, it’s a little darker in colour than the onion-skin ocean of pink Provence and the waves upon waves of lookalikes, and it is all the better for it! A delicious blend of 50% Malbec, 40% Syrah and 10% Pinot Noir from Estela Perinetti’s family vineyard in El Peral at 1,200 metres above sea level. The grapes are cold-pressed and the skins removed quickly before fermentation in stainless steel with selected yeasts at around 16ºC for 20 days. 30% of the wine is then aged in second use French oak barrels for 6 months, which helps make this a rosé with serious texture and weight, as well as having perfectly balanced acidity. In short, it’s a very ‘foodie’ wine that will stand up to big flavours, offering aromas of red cherry, raspberry and strawberry with a big, juicy finish.
