This is one of the very few super-premium Mendoza blends which does not rely on Malbec as a component. It never has and we don't think it ever will, because this wine has been around a long time and it is a winning formula of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc (Benegas have some of the best in Argentina), Merlot and Petit Verdot. The wine is matured for 18 months in new French oak, but the real key is the extensive cellaring at the winery before release. Five years! Thus, with each new release, a wine showing real elegance and complexity is available without the need for any patience on our part. This is a true classic wine of Mendoza.
