Richer and more intense than Valpolicella yet the acidity keeps the wine from being cloying. 12 months in a mix of French and American oak adds complexity and weight. Intense garnet in colour with ripe cherries, herby and earthy aromas. A warm and dry sour cherry palate in the fore, with loads of intensity of raisins and sultanas and a rich fresh soft tannic finish. Delicious with steak and classic Italian meals.
