Chateau Bel-Orme, Tronquoy de Lalande, Haut-Medoc, Bordeaux, 2012

Chateau Bel-Orme, Tronquoy de Lalande, Haut-Medoc, Bordeaux, 2012

A very exciting wine borne out of exciting principles.

A blend of 60% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc made just north of St Estephe, with 12 months in new French oak barrels, crafted in a comfortably classic style.

Second growth Margaux, Chateau Rauzan-Gassis, aquired this vineyard in 2012. Their expertise, along with that of longstanding Bordeaux winemaking family Tronquoy de Lalande, makes for a delightfully special wine. This is their first collaborative vintage, designed to pay homage to Victor Louis, famed architect of the grand theatre of Bordeaux.

This wine is an insight to the meticulous care and consideration that goes into a fine wine.

Generously measured dark forest fruits and warming smoky earth-like spice.

A bottle of this will make any occasion feel special.
